New today
A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.
Fuuuuuuck you! "Unintentional audio" That's bullshit! I understand the demonitization for copyright. BUT CARS?! You monetize YouTubers who are basically known for swearing. But then you don't monetize YouTubers who are CENSORING THEIR SWEAR WORDS. PEOPLE HAVE BILLS TO PAY.
This is an important step (with more to come!) towards a better Copyright system for creators & music partners long term.
