I didn't like the Poe/Holdo storyline in TLJ, and I thought this part of it was pretty on the nose. But I guess some people actually did need to hear what it was saying, and still do.

It wasn't obvious until I watched her perform the act that brought me back to my childhood of being amazed by bigger-than-life acts of heroism in a SF flick. I admit I missed it way too long & was surprised enough that it made me love the movie more.
