If Democrats want to beat Trump, they need to nominate someone that isn't promising to blow up an economy that has the highest approval from voters in decades and can pull in swing voters. I can not believe they are not rallying behind Amy Klobuchar - it's truly baffling to see.
Not only does Klobuchar have positions that appeal to swing voters, but she's in the Midwest that Democrats desperately need in 2020 *and* she's been a great debater which is what they need against Trump. Dems need people like me to come over, and Klobuchar can bring them over.
I think they have most of the people like you that they’re going to get. Educated, youngish conservative-leaners hate Trump.
Dems have swung waaayyyy left. Klobuchar may as well be a Republican at this point. Frustrating!
Agreed, I've been saying the same thing for a while. She is a very strong general election candidate.
The political wisdom in 2015 was that nominating Trump was suicide and choosing Marco Rubio or Jeb would be smart because they could build a coalition and swing Florida. All I’m saying is electability is impossible to predict - weird stuff happens in the general.

I remember when never trumpers said we needed to nominate Hillary over Sanders to “appeal to the middle” and that didn’t work very well. So I’ll take your “advice” with a huge grain of salt.
