Wondering how I can convince my team (and most importantly: the boss) that we should start contributing to #pandas and #numpy et.al.
Any ideas if OSS is still primarily perceived as "awesome, no license fees, it's free!"?

Yes, I absolutely agree, so I want to convince my boss and the rest of the team that we need to contribute to it - be it financially or be it through actively contributing. I just haven't found the right arguments to counter the prevailing "but it's free!"
