That explains a lot, I'm going to stick with ggplot2. Also one thing that's bad for matplotlib is the defaults (no legend, no axis label from the data, discrete scales with numbers are almost impossible to do...) not just a problem of documentation for me.

So is ggplot2, it's actually more customisable because we can actually read the doc... (sorry, I'm a bit angry, I'm forced to use matplotlib for an assignment I don't like)

Understandable! It's aggravating to be told you have to use a certain tool when you know another better that would serve equally as well.
