FYI, these grants are not open to the community. Each NumFOCUS Sponsored Project is eligible to put forward a single proposal, as selected by project leadership.

Oh sorry for the possibly misleading tweet. I guess because I got the announcement I thought it was open for non-sponsored projects. But one more incentive for people to join numfocus!

Oops, in my prior tweet I meant to say "Sponsored and Affiliated" project. So affiliated projects are also eligible to put something forward.
