Super excited by this news but as someone who has already been at this. Just adding more import examples from other @NumFOCUS projects and better docs on the data structures to create all the primitives would help out lot very quickly.

Hey Steven, this is definitely useful feedback, and we're working toward this -- and we are directly engaging with lots of researchers. I'm only speaking for myself, but I have a hard time (emotionally) reading a drip-drip of criticisms on twitter. Can we find another venue?
