  3. Lampreys are an ancient lineage of jawless fish. Fossils show that they hasn't evolved much for over 100 million years. Many lamprey species are parasitic and for food they latch on to a host and suck its blood. The parasitic sea lamprey can reach over a meter long.

  4. Slow lorises are a group of several species of nocturnal primates that make up the genus Nycticebus. They are the only venomous primate and to deliver their toxic bite a slow loris rubs its hand under poison glands near the armpits and apply the poison to its teeth.

  5. The earless monitor lizard is a nocturnal semiaquatic brown lizard native to the Southeast Asian island of Borneo.

  9. The stellar's sea eagle is the heaviest and one of the largest eagle species on Earth. Their maximum wingspan is around 2.45 meters (8ft 2in).

  13. Zebra duiker is a small antelope found in West Africa. They are solitary animals that form pair bonds for mating and raising their single offspring. Due to habitat loss and hunting there only 28,000 individuals left in the wild.

  14. The enamel of a beaver's incisors are rich in iron. High amount of iron gives the teeth an orange color and makes the teeth more resistant to acids than any other mammalian teeth.

  17. The Svalbard reindeer is the smallest reindeer sub-species. They are found on the Svalbard archipelago of Norway.
