I stayed off school again today although I am much better. The space shuttle landed on Earth safely (T. God) & both astronauts are fine (T. God). Daddy gave me a little wheel called a Daisymaker (it uses wool). We’re all going to Granny’s in Lurgan but I don’t know how to smuggle

I had a v bad night last night. I vomited & was very sick. I had to lie down in the bathroom because I couldn’t move. I was very hot most of the day. “A Fistful of Dollars” was on tonight. So was Marti Caine, I don’t like her at all. Clint Eastwood is v good though.

This was written on Monday because I didn’t feel that good on Sunday. Mass was so long & I had to sit down because I wasn’t feeling very good. I came home & rested for most of the day. The space shuttle had its first flight. This was a v boring day so that’s all I will write.

Today I finally went to Confession & I feel better for it. I had good fun ringing places all over the world. I hope it doesn’t come up on the phone bill or I’ll be in big trouble. Daddy made some more stilts. He didn’t have a very nice birthday. We’re going to Lurgan for Easter.

I hope to go on a fun jog from Newry to Warrenpoint. We seen a girl from Queens trying to get home. Either she was drunk or she was on drugs, I don’t know which. Cathy’s daddy said the Top Hat wouldn’t give her a drink. Bobby Sands won election.

Today I was still sort of fallen out with everyone but I don’t really know why. I was acting childishly so I’m going to stop it tomorrow. I was on the stilts for most of the evening. I’m actually quite good on them. Shakin Stevens is still no 1.

Finally today I totally lost my temper about D & just about fell out with everyone because they were always teasing me. I couldn’t stand it any longer. When they wrote his name around the edge of my pattern I ripped it in a rage. I don’t want to be teased any more.

DS passed alright today (thank God). Cathy was sick today & she’s supposed to have depression. Her mother told her that was the way she started. I hope (for Cathy’s sake) that’s not true.

I was back to school today but didn’t feel much better. I couldn’t stop coughing or sneezing. We had band tonight. I called for C but her brother said she wasn’t in then after I had gone on, she came out of the house with Elaine.

I went to 12 Mass with Ethna today. We were nice & early & neat with our new suits on. We went out to the farm today. We had quite a good time only Anthony threw a stone into the quarry & it hit John. He nearly fell over the quarry. I almost died with shock. He might have been

I went with Mummy shopping & finally found a pair of shoes for my kilt. Buck’s Fizz won the Eurovision Song Contest. Andaniti won the Grand National & Oxford won the Boat Race with a girl cox.

I didn’t go to school today but I felt a little better. My throat still hurts quite badly though. I went shopping with Mummy this afternoon & we went to see some shoes for me but either Mummy or I didn’t like them. This evening we went cycling.

I wanted to do because they are sort of revision. So I’m not going to school tomorrow. Shakin Stevens still no 1. By the way my throat & head are still sore. My tonsils are slightly swollen.

I was only in school for the first 2 classes. My throat, stomach & head were all sore. I spent the rest of the day in bed. I missed the auditions for the school choir which is a pity & tomorrow I will miss 2 tests (I think) which, although I don’t like tests, (who does?)
