Oookay. So, I did rip out the piece I finished, but that’s because the mirrored piece to it came out so much better. This is the redo and I feel so much better. Glad I did it. Can’t wait to share the finished piece.

There she goes again, trying to trigger people with her words. That’s her formula. Just pump out long statements with lots of trigger opportunities, but nothing else of substance or even resolution.

Inuktut word of the day: •Tunnuq •Tun-nuq •Caribou (tuktu) fat Caribou (tuktu) fat is a delicacy- I personally prefer it still semi frozen (when it’s still firm).

Elect me in 2020 - I’ll make F/T jobs be 6 hrs, and P/T just 4, ban pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer- create tax credits for composting, ban plastic bags, and make sure to tax billionaire businesses

Our 'Lingit & Haida Council has done some hard work towards MMIW. Even though I've heard otherwise, the fact that it's in writing and signed by our Council President should be effective in court. Famz in the right place for Judylee

Here's a reminder to white folks "learning" from Natives, you are not entitled to our time. We are not at your disposal for conversations, discussions, or to do research for you. Our time, labor, and knowledge is valuable and should be compensated as such.

In our plight to ditch plastic, we might have to cancel our Costco membership. There’s almost nothing there that doesn’t contribute to senseless, single use plastic and it breaks my heart to step back and think of the national contribution to our environment. 💔

My boyfriend is almost giddy that I told him my preferred “flowers” are now beading supplies. Let’s see how much his work location across the street from the beading store pays off, now. 🤔💐

When people ask why dressing up as a “sexy Indian” or “sexy Pocahontas” is problematic.. this is why. It literally leads to the mass sexual assault of Native women through fetishization.

How many beading projects have you ripped apart to re-do after completing it, or nearly completing it??? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😬😔 Trying to enjoy this one and I keep stopping to look at it and all I’m seeing are areas of improvement. 🤨🧐

“America’s public lands belong to all of us” is a particularly noxious take for someone who is already held in suspicion by tribal communities.

I also hate when people say non-Natives, when they really mean white. In some cases it makes sense, but when we are talking power structures, it doesn’t. But I am a proponent of saying what you mean. White is not a slur! You can’t create it as a structure & BE offended by it.l

San Diego has a very long intentional history of white supremacy, in fact it was once called “one of the most segregated areas in the country” by the Fair Employment Practices Commission in 1965. Here’s an excerpt from Becoming Mexipino, a book on SD’s racist history:
