    Now, the same interests are limiting the range of solutions only to the most expensive to serve, the ones that get up in their grill, rather than helping working poor, families, etc. They need to leave such decisions up to the experts.

    Under the 10 Year Plan, business interests refused to focus on only one part of homelessness population (other cities focused on, for example, "chronically homeless"). Our visionary business community wanted to set those Big Hairy Ass Goals, or whatever the fuck that was called.

    Many of our homeless neighbors do not need permanent supportive housing, and that is the most expensive to operate.

    Particularly intriguing-in 1 para, demand only to fund perm. supportive housing and enhanced shelters. In next para., insist on centering on consumer voice. Shouldn't the centering go first, and then only then determine the types of housing?

    My other q didn't get asked: if someone expressed a fear (like bike lanes will kill business) is it the CMs responsibility to both hear that fear and confirm with evidence if it is true. Not just repeat something that may not be true.
