Of course, but the victim had partial responsibility too. You have to use common sense and not leave out what's essentially bait for thieves. Even the city tells you not to leave objects in the car to prevent such things.

Never said they weren't. Of course they are but that doesn't absolve them of partial responsibility. Don't do things that will put you in situations that will make you a victim.

Nope of course not but their stuff wouldn't of been stolen in the first place if they didnt leave it out in the open like that knowing how bad car breakins are in the city. But it's a hard lesson of what not to do. That person won't make that mistake again.

perfect example of what not to do. naive and not street smart. Maybe, but I NEVER had anything stolen out of my car, had a broken window either and I don't have a garage. People can choose to be naive and not take precautions but the ones who'll be a victim is them.
