When marginalized people make jokes about themselves and their communities they're hilarious. When privileged people make jokes about marginalized people it's not funny at all. Privileged people only have a handful of jokes about marginalized people and they all suck.

racial and other stereotype humour can be funny. and it doesn't necessarily need to be from marginalised people to be funny (though it does help that the "punching down" is removed). I think it's funniest and least cringey when the differences are celebrated rather than ridiculed

Correct me if I’m wrong but chapelle was good at doing racial humor the right way

Even Chapelle's racial comedy was pretty much just stereotypes. Not saying Crowder is on Chapelle's level, but they have similarities outside of the political side.

But what Chappelle really did so masterfully was expose, through humor, what bullshit those stereotypes were. That's why he's still the king. How long has that show been off the air? And yet we're still talking about it. This guy will be forgotten next week.

Like I said, Crowder isn't on his level, though he has done similar things. Crowder won't be forgotten though, this whole thing has only grown his fan base.
