THE SUN VANISHED: Want to read something creepy that takes about an hour AND you can do it entirely on Twitter? Go to @TheSunVanished, scroll to the very bottom, and get started! A clever and well done story that keeps a good mystery. Put on headphones and watch in the dark.

THE BLACK TAPES: A spooky podcast that I regret listening to while driving at night all by myself. Only on season 2, but so far, I like it! It's well written and acts as a mix of Serial and paranormal investigation. It may be fictional, but it's still #2Spooky4Me

TREVOR HENDERSON'S ART: This was recommended to me by @ellenmeny a few weeks back! He's an artist on Tumblr who takes already creepy photos and draws in even creepier creatures, ghosts, and ghouls. Some are just a tad spooky, others... pure nightmare fuel.http://slimyswampghost.tumblr.com/

TREEHOUSE OF HORROR: The Simpsons have made tons of hilarious episodes, but their Halloween specials are next level. They parody everything from The Shining to The Twilight Zone to Edgar Allen Poe. All are great, but numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5 are absolute gems. Give them a watch!pic.twitter.com/L8jXo6BoRM

PETSCOP: What if an old PS1 game was haunted? Sounds silly, but that's Petscop and it's excellent. The series creator clearly put a lot of time into making it look like a legit late 90s game. It's a slow burn that gets more and more eerie as you watch.https://youtu.be/6e6RK8o1fcs

LOCAL 58: It's late at night, you're watching a local TV station, and suddenly something spooky happens. Right now, the YouTube channel only has 6 videos, but they're all short and unsettling. Pretty creative and bizarre, you better stay tuned.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuoMasRkMhlj1VNVAOJdw5w …

STRANGER THINGS: Despite all the hype when it came out, this show somehow exceeded my expectations. I loved the music, the characters, and the atmosphere. The 1st season is my favorite (though I did like season 2). It's an awesome blend of fun, frights, and mystery.pic.twitter.com/w3XQhVImcr

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: A horror classic that defined the zombie genre and speaks volumes to the impact of low budget, indie films. The movie is surprisingly in the public domain so you can pretty much find it anywhere! Not to mention tons of theaters show it this time of year.pic.twitter.com/UpvZQ65ohC

LUIGI'S MANSION: Okay, so, as far as games about ghosts go, this is about as kid-friendly as you get. However, the game is a lot of fun and the atmosphere of the mansion just screams Haunted House. Luigi's constant nervous humming and whistling is also hilarious.pic.twitter.com/S9c3IcLNos

LORE: Just started it and I already love it! @lorepodcast delves into tbe origins of different fears and scary stories. Each episode covers real-life stories of horror that range from "that's creepy" to "NOPE NOPE NOPE". It's apparently being made into a Hulu series as well!

THE MOONLIT ROAD: The entire South is haunted and filled with ghost stories and creepy folk tales. @themoonlitroad tells these tales like old fashioned campfire stories. They honestly feel like stories I grew up on. I'm not very far in, but I'm excited to continue!
