Yeah it is ridiculous. I scan using my phone and I have a cheap little printer and even though I never print willfully I've had to do various tax and accounting things with the printer lately enough to need a whole ink cartridge. Like... why.

Only thing you can't do easily without printing a document is sign a document that needs your actual Signature. Rather than replying Y?N by email.

One time my health insurance company told me I had to send them something directly (not through my provider) and they only accepted fax. literally. FAX.
