Saying the main cause of the murders was isolation while denying the role of the resentment and hatred these men felt towards the people they targeted misrepresents the issue. Loneliness may breed resentment, but you yourself admit it doesnt breed enough to kill for most.

Is that why the only people he actually killed were his roommates, most of whom he was on good terms with? His manifesto shows how hard he tried to relate to them and others: not very. On some level there has to be personal accountability for that resentment, not just society's.

He killed himself as the police caught up, thats the opposite of taking responsibility for his actions. His entire manifesto is him blaming other people while deifying himself, placing the bulk of the blame on a society doesnt feel right to me.

Does that mean the incel community is responsible for him as well, being apart of their society? Is asking people to stop acting a certain way not the ultimate goal of holding a society and its members to task?

How does one even go about holding society responsible for him then, given that his society was just people living around him and, by his own admission, had less to do with him since they never even interacted with him at all, much less bitched alongside him?

...So in "holding society responsible" you really mean we should remove some civil liberties and have the state pay people to marry people like r/incel users?
