    I am uneasy about a congressionally mandated commission to investigate January 6. If it includes congressional leaders each picking members, Kevin McCarthy would pick a Jim Jordan, Greene or Nunes to disrupt. McConnell would pick one or two who voted to acquit. 1

        Those senators would have a strong interest in keeping out anything that implicated Trump. I would want to explore commissions created either by the president or the AG, that would have subpoena power and could have a balanced group of members who would be genuine truth-seekers.
