Ok, so you live out of thin air and/or you think that people creates software out of thin air. Ok. Whatever.

Idk what to tell you, dude. I have a job working in proprietary SaaS and make free stuff in my free time which improves my life and hotels helps others. The company I work for does that too, but with services that don't make sense to be open. I think our values are different.

Our values had nothing to do with this. It is our vision: the church of Stallman that doesn't allow anyone to use their software unless they comply with draconian licenses, or the other one, that has managed to make some people even use a free kernel on the desktop.

do you think that Linux isn't licensed GPL?

It doesn't matter, but not really 100% that's the reason why the church of Stallman doesn't like Linux and is reinventing the wheel with the Hurd.pic.twitter.com/SIUYM0cEkr

Okay. I use Linux. I use a lot of non-GPL software, in fact. I've chosen to license some of my open source software as GPL, because I do not want large companies to benefit from my work for free. Does that make sense to you?

I said like twenty tweets ago that with your code you can do whatever you want, but I refuse to swallow with the position that takes the GPL as if it were some sort of blessing to the OSSW community.

And I also say that any code released out there would be much more beneficial to the world if released under a more permissive license.

Okay. Can we agree to disagree on that? I think your definition of "beneficial" is not the same as mine.

Sure, I think that the church of Stallman using a massive amount of resources duplicating a massive effort instead of benefitting Linux is enough damage to the world, but OK.

Why are you so convinced that I'm super into Stallman and/or give a shit about Hurd? What's your damage?
