GPL has a compiler hole. Stallman wrote it on the axiom that only GCC would be used. You can inject any code you want through the compiler, fully circumventing the GPL.

Thanks to copilot, they're all GPL now, so I guess it doesn't matter, does it?

What on earth do you mean by that? Copilot is proprietary. If it's based on GPL code, it need to be GPL itself - that's how the GPL works. This is still true if it's only available as an API due to it having also ingested AGPL code.

It was mostly trained on the one same file it found 700'000 times. The GPL itself. It now tends to autocomplete your code with sentences from the GPL. *SCNR*.
