because they don't want to go through the trouble of verifying peoples' identities. it would require them to actually pay some employees which they are fundamentally against. anyway we have a perfectly good way to verify everyone's identities but GPG is hard so nobody uses it

I’m pretty sure they already have a team that does this. But maybe I’m thinking of fb (where you have to send in your license to verify).

Yeah - and to be clear, when I say they are opposed to hiring people, I'm saying that based on their unwillingness to have human review over most moderation decisions. Facebook is not great but they do at least have humans look at some context around moderation (and this.)
