i really wish the foss community wasn't full of shitheads because i've never found a commercial OS or major project that was actually usable in the way most FOSS stuff is for me _personally_ and it makes me really sad that other people have had such awful experiences
among other things it puts me at odds with people who share the same goals as me because they find different software to be accessible to them
like. yeah maybe having to use apt to install stuff is a waste of time but also having to google for thirty minutes to find an archive of my gpu drivers is also a gigantic waste of time and i've never had to do that on a linux system. people have different needs
same reason i would never tell someone they're bad for using or talking about mac os - apple is an objectively evil company but like, we live in a world with a duopoly on OSes for most people's use cases
