the more i talk to apple devs and users the more convinced i become that apple is literally just holding the computing market hostage

It’s true even as an aapl user: not content with making a muddle of the software they’re not making the hardware less user-friendly than ever. It’s pitiful
seriously! like... i would pay $60 or $70 for a "UNIX that just works", but Mac OS... doesn't.

yeah. that's one thing that really fucks me up. they literally have no excuse there; it's not as if their profit margin is too low. they really could just decide not to make it harder on purpose.
