The simple key is to upload with a high enough resolution image. I have helped troubleshoot many dozens of complaints about image quality, & 9 times out of 10 it all comes down to uploading the image at 2048x2048 instead of something smaller like 960x960.https://help.twitter.com/en/using-twitter/tweeting-gifs-and-pictures …

Even text-shots can be salvageable with the trick of making the image larger when you upload it. Compare the same text screenshots below, one uploaded in its native 512x360 size and the other enlarged to 2048x1440.pic.twitter.com/NcwfiWP88j
