Could a baptist explain to me why God no longer includes children of covenant members in the covenant promises?
You have to back up. The divergence is in the presuppositions you’re trying to press forward. Namely, a continuation of covenants that replaces circumcision with baptism.

It's pretty clear in Scripture - but even if you want to deny the unity between them, God's established pattern for covenant rite application is expressed for 2000+ years, and there's no abrogation thereof, in fact the household/children connection is repeated in the New. 1/2

You believe that first century Jews, steeped in the covenant structures commanded by YHWH thru redemptive history would easily abandon them without command of the Apostles. As I've said, some Baptists believe Christianity is completely different religion than that of Abraham. 2/2
