Republic Services said its plan is to operate all routes as normal on Wednesday as the temperatures forecasted are not bitter cold & drifting should not have a major impact. Republic imagines that routes will likely operate at a slower pace due to the forecasted inches of snow.
Our Street Dept. has all of our equipment prepared and loaded with salt & calcium chloride. Our night shift will begin working at midnight tonight unless the forecast changes & they need to come in earlier. We will continue with 12-hour shifts until street clearing is complete.

Street Dept. crews have the major roadways clear. They are currently continuing to monitor major areas & have entered subdivisions. They are seeing blowing snow, but most subdivisions should be easily passable.
The point of concern are rural areas and places with open fields.
Please stay home if possible. If you must go out, reduce your speeds as temperatures and blowing snow are impacting road conditions. Also, be cognizant of how cold the weather is outside - and how quickly the wind chill can cause injury from exposure.
A Winter Storm Warning will remain in place through the day with the focus being the extremely cold wind chills and strong winds. Snow has come to an end, but blowing snow will remain a hazard through the day. #INwx
