this is an amazing thing about buddhism conversations about consciousness and its relation to neuroscience & psychology have you ever read ken wilber? some fascinating stuff in his oeuvre his latest religion of tomorrow outlines what he calls the 4th turning of the dharma wheel.

as for wilber i dig his books & ideas but the "integral community" that sprung from his work two decades ago is oddly insular and from what i've experienced just a bunch of eggheads talking about themselves doing nothing for humankind. doesn't mean his ideas are lame, though.
