Did the message of Buddhism get changed when it was translated from Indo-European languages into Chinese?

1" At a concrete level, the Chinese were not so oriented towards mendicancy. Where in South Asia it can be an honor to have the opportunity to give alms to support monks and nuns, in China there was some negativity around the act of begging.

Chinese Buddhism was the first strand to engage in farming as a means to self-sufficiency. 🌱 Agricultural/horticultural/permacultural analogies are thus interwoven throughout the literature.

Unfortunately, Tibetan geography isn't entirely conducive to farming on the same scale as elsewhere. Hence one reason for the widespread and early adoption of a strictly vegetarian/vegan diet in Chinese Buddhism, but not in Tibet, where vegetation is relatively scarce.

Its not the size that matters Its what you do with it that counts. Even Lichens are golden to many. Farming & Agriculture was and is, still part of Tibetan Buddhism so what you said is false. Tibet has such medicines that some say a monkey spirit shared. #hanuman #hilamandjupic.twitter.com/DB0dPD461B

X can I ask your qualifications re: plant medicine? Also land & water management in extreme climates? Mosses? Lichens? Fungi? I also raise the point that Tibet has changed during Earths cycles like Australia has. Eg: Lake Mungo used to be an inland sea. Why forget the obvious?pic.twitter.com/6CBFb5LWcv

Framing is not about a one eyed point of view like that within a camera. Its filled with the multifaceted which means less angles to find a hook more discipline in the art of shifts within focus. I hope this broadens your outlook.
