Not being able to go to the gym has given me a profound appreciation for the value of the humble push-up. 1) almost anywhere 2) good range of muscles, including core 3) many joints move 4) big surge in blood flow after 5) little prep needed 6) you can micro-dose through the day.

Strong agree. This and a yoga sequence that alternates between downward- and upward-facing dog has long been part of my daily practice. They work in any place with a simple body's length of space. Push-ups fit in nicely on either end or in the interim.
