All over a term whose etymology connotes multiple meanings. Why? Reminds me of that graduate seminar on Nāgārjuna's Vigrahavyāvartanī that devolved into a petty argument over predicates.
On page 270, scholar X finds the shifting meanings of a word "disturbing." On page 271, scholar X finds the shifting meanings of a word "distressing." Is this what "Buddhist Studies" ("BS") has become, a philological stress-fest?
