Guru Padmasambhāva appeared in the lotus as an eight-year-old boy. King Indrabhūti came to see him and asked him five questions: "Where did you come from? Who is your father? Who is your mother? What do you eat? What do you do?"

Guru Padmasambhāva answered, "I came from the unborn state, the dharmadhātu. My father's name is Samantabhadra and my mother's name is Samantabhadrī. For food, I eat dualistic thoughts, and for work, I benefit all sentient beings."

This has me wondering about the taste and nutritional content of dualistic thoughts.
