I’ve never been able to see what’s useful about his project. I’ve tried, but it just strikes me as posturing in suport if reactionary ideology. I admit that I’m probably missing something, as people I respect thing highly of Heidegger’s work.

In my reading, late Heidegger (e.g., Feldweg-Gespräche, Unterwegs zur Sprache) shares a fair bit of common ground with Chan and Zen. Not as familiar with early Heidegger, but there may be some parallels there as well.
