Dream last night: Back at the Sleep Lab at UW-Madison, where they ran experiments on my brain last year through their long-term meditators study, being asked to report on my dreams. Not a dream within a dream, but a dream report within a dream, which is now a new dream report.

Searched far and wide, but the study doesn't seem to have been published yet. Involved three visits over the course of a year for repeated fMRI, EEG, blood draws, and cognitive testing. Looking forward to reading the results.

A few years ago, I had a lucid dream the night before I was to be part of a college panel discussing lucid dreaming. So I took it as an opportunity to ask the characters in that dream their thoughts about lucid dreaming. And one of them said: "I like it regular."

One of my most memorable lucid dreams was as an undergrad, involved shattering into shards of iridescent light in meditation. Woke up to the last day of an intensive lakeside retreat. Similar lucid light imagery emerged while at a mountain monastery in Taiwan a few years later.
