I think it's more instructive to look at the overall picture. Low-skilled immigration has slowed to a trickle. High-skilled immigration has held up. (This graph includes legal AND illegal immigration.) So basically, the skill mix has improved quite a lot.pic.twitter.com/8sgomsmYS7
This is a good trend, and ending chain migration would cut it off. So I say, add a Canadian-style points system on top of the existing system. It's working up north!

It's confusing whether that's all immigrants or Hispanic ones. But the figures in that link are dramatically differently than in your prior link.

The link says 51.6% less-than-HS education. Your image implies about 85% more than 85% more-than-HS education.
