That is an extremely low bar. In the run up to 2016, I learned more about the conservative mindset from an hour or two of Mark Levin than I did from all the npr I listened to

Liberals who learn about conservative ideas from conservatives will tend to react to them oppositionally. Whereas NPR explains conservative ideas in ways liberals might find reasonable. Whether you think that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

I completely disagree. They try but they put on "nerf" conservatives who mostly apologize and are completely bewildered by the populist movement. It might represent the "think tank" conservatives but not the voters.

They interview people from the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress basically every day.

I listen, and I'm not sure they "explain" as much as they simply "give air time to conservative talking points." Heck, I learn more simply listening to Fox News some of the time.

Every time I come across arguments/discussions like these I'm reminded of advice from an old boss: "You have to do the work to have an opinion..."
