We have "neoliberal" and "neoconservative". As long as we're making everything "neo", seems like we might as well use "neosocialism" to describe the new Bernie/Corbyn/Morales/Chavez movement...

I honestly don’t get why socialists keep insisting on this. Didn’t corporate pension plans own huge amounts of company stock right up to the 60s? And then when the company went bust, the workers would lose their pensions too?

Also pension plan ownership of company stock basically entrenched existing management. Shareholders couldn’t throw them out because mgmt could collude with the pension to win votes.

Corbyn's is based on the amt o/ workers per firm, Bernie's is based on the value of the company. Would be interesting to see which plan socializes the equity. Still tho you're spot on. Bernie is much to the left of Euro socdems.
