Of course I could go off on a whole rant about how America's actually a really rich country so material concerns aren't nearly as salient to people as 40 years ago so the culture war left seems instinctively more radical and scary than the socialist left... ...but I'll hold off.

Anyway once the general election gets going, I'm sure the GOP will start trying their hardest to paint Bernie as the Candidate of Wokeness (they did a similar thing to McGovern). We'll see if that sticks, I guess. (end)

I think a big part of that is that they believe Warren could win and they don't believe that about Sanders.

Maybe the opposite. I know plenty that think she would be more effective at making major changes. They think Bernie would be uncompromising.
