Data conclusively shows that the "incel" view of sex is wrong: Few American men are celibate, and most are monogamous within a given year.http://simondedeo.com/?p=221

In fact the data seems more consistent with a decline in libidos overall...pic.twitter.com/KnB8nxhF7A

And people looking for social or cultural explanations for the rise in sexlessness should realize that the apparent decline in libidos is happening around the world...https://www.sbs.com.au/news/the-feed/young-single-people-in-japan-aren-t-having-sex-and-the-reason-is-proving-fatal …

But doesn't this show young men driving the increase in sexlessness far more than women?
-
More so, yes, but if Tinder et al. had made it possible for all the women to date the same few "chads", and if this is what women really wanted to do as the incels claim, you'd see a drop in female sexlessness rather than a rise.
-
I feel this is a high bar you're placing on that graph to be "consistent" with the incel worldview. There could be factors driving male and female sexlessness but I'd think the incels only require the larger spike among men to be consistent.
-
I really don't see how it's at the core of their worldview that fewer women are sexless than before. Seems you've taken a graph which seems reasonably consistent with their worldview and imposed a very high standard on it to make it inconsistent.

10% to 28% in 10 years seems like an interesting data point though?

I bet widespread finasteride use has something to do with the male graph.
-
Your ridiculous. The people who need that stuff weren't having sex in the first place. Secondly, it's still a very small amount, won't even be worth 0.0001% if real.

maybe they are just admitting it more.

all this does fit in with the assertions that
@JonBirger1 made in dateonomics, the distribution is not even and there is more than ever a skew of a few young men having a lot of sex this being mostly well educated young men with good prospects ahead of them.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I find it difficult to understand how the data about 28% of virgin males vs 18% females should reinforce your argument.

Seems plausible though. Given the dynamics of the sexual marketplace I’d expect Tinder/etc to cause a steeper celibacy rise among men than women, but a rise in both nonetheless.

I blame the fact that young couples can’t afford to get a studio apt in any major city, so they’re trying to find time btwn their 9 part time jobs & either sharing a flat w/ 9 roommates that can all hear you, or at yr parent’s- Not everyone’s comfortable w/ public bathroom sex
