If you're into the subject, start here https://bit.ly/2AtdCx4 with the Binswanger, Deininger, Feder review/history/analysis of land reform (link is a draft of Handbook chapter). Will tweet a few more links if I have the chance today

I also found Powelson's "The Story of Land", https://amzn.to/2EKlXkn , a nice historical overview of land tenure relationships. Not sure how easy it is to find anymore.

Talan Iscan's recent paper on redistributive land reform and structural change in Japan, SK, and Taiwan, https://bit.ly/2O7swwT , but i can't find an ungated version. Briefly, found land reform drove/allowed shift of labor out of ag.

Lipton's book, https://amzn.to/2EN4ebR , also a must-read on the subject. Final one for now is that you can read almost anything by Keijiro Otsuka and learn something useful, https://ideas.repec.org/e/pot22.html

Are you mostly thinking about ag land or urban land?

How Asia Works remains one of the top three books I’ve ever read, frankly. VERY relevant to HAW’s case: “Export Superstars”, by Freund & Pierola, in the Review of Economics and Statistics (97(5), 2015). Demonstrates that export differences/comparative adv comes from top 5 firms.

Hooray. I can't promise to not sneak in some broader AG tfp lit because I'm very interested in that.
