As long as there's geographical migration & assortment by partisan ideology (folks moving to red states or blue states), will some kind of secession become inevitable?

I recently came across that term, Cold Civil War. I found it deeply disturbing largely because it seemed, maybe not a perfect metaphor, but to hold a lot of truth.

I would definitely prefer secession to bloodshed. Secession might be the best thing possible for the survival of America as we know it today, if we are talking on a 100+ year time scale.

Your "nope" is addressing the current practicality, whereas my tweet was talking about long-term sustainability. To answer your question anyway, I would say the current most likely secession candidate would be a progressive state in California, from ~Oakland on South.

Even if the political will for that could be mustered which it can't, the U.S. wouldn't let it go and would send troops. Over quick.
