Hey, @Noahpinion: strikes me that tax policy that gave deductions only for what is paid to employees under the median company wage would make it more likely companies would pay (slightly) higher wages. Thoughts? Any studies?

And fund SSI how?
-
Also: ordinal measure how (googling that wasn't particularly helpful)?

I think he means that the median wage isn’t the best choice of measures here since it means different things in different industries, companies, etc., so it’s not particularly meaningful. Some industries may naturally have a low median wage, even if labor got its fair cut.

Which is why I chose it. It doesn't punish a business for everyone sharing a low wage. It punishes (relatively) businesses that aren't sharing the wealth with workers on the low end.
