You’re right it just shows affirmative action is not capable of solving discrimination or racism

But affirmative action IS effective. 1. https://www.aeaweb.org/articles?id=10.1257/app.20160121 … 2.https://www.mitpressjournals.org/doi/10.1162/REST_a_00208 …

Is the difference intent?

No. The difference is principle. Black kids deserve a boost into the American elite because of our history. Rich white kids do not, IMO, deserve a boost relative to hard-working, more competent Asian kids.

https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_6090692 … How is it that asians are discriminated against and yet Cubans and other Hispanics esp white looking Hispanics that have never been systemically excluded from society get preference over an Asian applicant.

The Chinese exclusions lasted for nearly a century and was designed to exclude Chinese folks from assimilation and ever being able to become a part of the society. Many Chinese were killed and massacred in California. How do you recover from that? How dehumanizing is that...

I haven't even mentioned the internment of Japanese american. These were law abiding American citizens that were stripped of their rights and sense of belonging. These weren't undocumented immigrants we are talking about. These were American citizens treated as 2nd class citizens

Why are Asian folks getting affirmative action meanwhile Cubans and well off Hispanics get affirmative action?? Last time I checked 9/10 transcontinental railroad builders were Chinese and many left died.

I don't see how that is mathematically possible. Afirmative action is basically "good racism". Some people find this sort of claim hurtful, but I've yet to hear a suitable rebuttal, mostly outrage for daring to compare such things.

There is literal equivalence. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
