It's a little less than Sweden and we don't really have the issue. Although shootings are on the rise sadly. The comment was about the sad state of gun violence in the US, it's a great achievement by new York to get this far

Depends on which part. The northern half is about 10% of the population so very sparse, denser in the southern part. But how does new York compare to other large cities? London? Tokyo?
