Wolf Ladejinsky, the guy who convinced the U.S. government to support land reform in Japan and Taiwan, and one of the greatest unsung heroes of modern history, WAS A GEORGIST!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf_Ladejinsky …

The Indochinese wars were propelled by anti-colonialism and to achieve self determination. One economic theory or another wasn't going to reverse that if it was imposed by a foreign power.
-
I mean, we did it in Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea.
-
Japan's resistance was already broken. The Kuomintang was a proponent of georgism early on yet they lost the mainland to the communists. Korea was somewhat similar, but the south not going communist had more to do with Rhee massacring ~200,000 leftists prior to the war
-
But the South did go communist...the Viet Cong had majority support.
-
That was meant for S. Korea. Rhee (maybe) prevented a Viet Cong equivalent but wound up giving N. Korea a reason to invade seeing as how he was murdering hundreds of thousands of fellow Koreans. It isn't the best comp to Indochina but it's closer than the other two.
