The real kicker is that once you let the nihilism grab you it’s self reinforcing. You start with a “what’s the point” feeling and the less you do the more you fall behind on things and the stronger the feeling gets.

Only thing I'd say is that for me the 'behavioural' side of cognitive-behavioural therapy is much more important than the 'cognitive' side. I think changing the way you behave is much easier than changing the way you think and has knock-on effects on your cognitive aspects anyway
