My guess is the insane amount of black-on-black violence could be solved by more policing, not less.https://twitter.com/Noahpinion/status/1050834238537314304 …

And I get that. But if we keep running into this faux Marxist ideology, and selective meaning generation efforts from the so called "left," the trusting the cops won't happen. Distrust of the police is the engine room of distrust, and it's just not as bad as it seems.

Hate to butt in, but my black neighbors would never call the cops, and its because they are pretty well off. Too much risk for them and their kids to get arrested (when they were living with them). And I live in one of the best places in the US for racial harmony.

If the NYT's keeps telling us that black people can't trust the police, despite the fact that racism is on the decline, then they need to find new nodes of information. Try: Coleman Hughes, try Prof Loury.

My black next door neighbors who own 5 investment properties are telling me this.

Exactly. Peoole immediately want reduce these kinds of arguments to "more ____ is better!" More money, more police, more military, more involvement, etc. Throwing "more" bad practice at something just makes us more proficient at the wrong methods.
