Guns are legal, mobs are not, in this country.
And the Proud Boys aren't there. Watch the @MrAndyNgo videos.

That was more than a year ago. The current cycle is about a completely different event. For someone who appears to spend so much time on Twitter, they're are entire Twitter epochs that pass you by.

I mean, I feel that would be something to be proud of, frankly. But the Proud Boys marching in Portland were just a few months ago, not more than a year ago.https://www.thedailybeast.com/proud-boys-the-infamous-right-wing-brawlers-head-to-the-heart-of-antifa-country …

An unarmed man (agitator or not) being attacked by a group of men armed with sticks and fighting back isn't quite the same thing as groups of leftists attacking non-protestors, destroying property, etc. For every video like this, there are ten more of Antifa doing way worse.

No because they would lose.
-
I mean, Google "antifa vs. proud boys". You can watch the YouTube videos.
-
Of course they have had clashes before. But the latest behavior of Antifa where they take over and control a section of a city like downtown Portland is not being met with resistance by proud boys or any other militant right wing group.
-
Really? Those guys all just gave up and went home??
-
Portland isn't exactly a bastion of right wing thuggery. Is there any video of a right wing group trying to combat Antifa and "liberate" Portland city streets from their rule? If so I must have missed it.
-
This is over different issues, not related to antifa's latest antics this week when they were closing streets and threatening residents that they would regret their decision if they didn't follow orders.
-
Btw I am in no way excusing the behavior of neo nazis, proud boys or what ever they want to call themselves. But I don't think it helps to treat Antifa like it isn't the reverse side of the same coin.

Or you know the Tea Party, Dave's just phoning in here
-
Name one tea party event that resulted in people being assaulted in cars and getting pepper sprayed by attendants.
-
I mean, maybe not to that level, but there was some violence.https://www.huffingtonpost.com/dawn-teo/tea-party-protest-turns-v_b_360035.html …

Fair enough my memories of the movement at its height center more around the Washington March and the run up to the 2010 mid terms. But it is absolutely fair to say that the movements failure in 2012 basically ruined it and it quickly became a disorganized and fractured movement.

Thank you for not blocking me btw. I hope you realize that even if I disagree I am not trying to troll.
-
Of course! I talk a big game but I only block A) really trolly assholes, or B) people who follow Nazi meme accounts.
-
Speaking of Nazis btw, I have a book recommendation for you. I have just about finished reading Travelers in the Third Reich by Julia Boyd and I think it is a great book. She quotes letters and diaries of people traveling in Germany from 1919 to 1945.
