Libertarians: Libertarians would never say that; they would bring up the role of government in causing artificially high prices. Noah: You're right, that was a cheap shot without any basis in reality. Sorry for sucking. Libertarians: No prob, be free, keep on sucking if you want.

I think that's more conservative/corporatist. Libertarians are more inclined to blame licensing requirements for everyone all the way down to hygienists, tax subsidies for employer-based insurance, pharma patents, litigiousness, etc etc. At least last time I checked.

The weirdity is attributable to a toxic mix of statism & incompetent crony capitalism. Both equally at odds with genuine economic liberalism! Which lacks high profile advocates!
