The proper term is globalization. Globalism and globalist have nasty connotations.

This is where you pretend it's only about bringing other countries "up", and that it has nothing to do with people as well.
-
Dude, I was just talking terminology.
-
you're right, though. My mistake.
-
Call it whatever you want, it's all the same crap. You have no idea how bad the original tweet sounds. You are calling for a purge, in all Western countries, at the same time.

He's meaning the second definition of firepower, my nutty fellow Californian self-admitted "gun lover".pic.twitter.com/SMgWMkjR32

I know it's crazy, but it's possible the people freaking out over this didn't actually read the piece over which they're freaking. https://www.commentarymagazine.com/politics-ideas/an-unpopular-approach-trade-populism-problem/ …pic.twitter.com/HPijRNIKuZ

I'm not talking about the article, I'm talking about the original tweet. If you're talking about "intellectual firepower", why the need to point out supposed overwhelming numbers?

How do you propose to do this Noah? Don't be coy.

Define, confront, and discredit the populist program. It’s all in the post. Nothing coy about it.

Globalism is on the run. They are losing badly in the US and Europe will pull itself out before it's too late. The only numbers that count to them are the amount of zeroes at the end of their bank account

No wonder the kind of GOP you advocate got routed in the industrial wastelands in the Midwest, and the one Trump led did a total 180 there. But of course I'm sure you'd love to see the children of the losers of globalism sign up for the wars you want to launch...
-
Also your "they are outmannded so let's destroy them" approach...you want to apply that to the culture war as well?

Globalism = American Dream/ Western World forced to compete with slave wages and outsourcing. You cannot uphold the proven success of the modern world if you sell out it’s foundation to Communist or other failed culture who do not embrace the melting pot of Western Civ
-
The whole idea of the Western World is to Dream Big, anything is possible and if you work hard you will be better off than your parents were. Globalism dictates that we can do buisiness and lose jobs/industry/wealth to non-western cultures so long as the prices stay cheap.
-
Why should a middle class American or a low income American trying to climb into the Middle class have to compete with foreign workers who live in and by the low standards of squalor. Just so Wall Street can lower labor costs...
-
It’s not even a viable long term business plan considering the Western World IS the end consumer of said production. Once enough wealth bleeds to outsourcing and trade deficits, the worlds best customer (the American consumer) won’t exist for Wall Street to exploit.
-
This has been 3 decades of Presidents following blindly the idiotic dictums of non-reciprocal free trade. A degredation and destruction of middle class and American Dream, so that Walmart and Amazon, can stuff it’s shelves and warehouses with cheap products, boosting stocks.
-
If these people really cared about foreigners.. they'd look into their working conditions in their home country. China has thousands going blind weekly, welding without eye protection.. they say "we have many mo welder"
-
That would be very very sad if it’s true. I couldn’t find any verification. Got a link.... Most the issue is looong hours for low pay and poor food/housing/recreation. If we have to compete with that it lowers our quality of life. Trading should be stopped.
-
We can't compete.. I know about the welders first hand from an international pilot.. probably all banned info here
