How is Typescript versioning for projects these days? I seem to recall the TS version being fixed, but I've been using VS Code for all my TS needs for a minute now.

Been wondering, what are best practices for getting TypeScript refactorings for things I'm used to from Intellij, like extract interface from a class? Saw there was an individual extension that promised to do it, but any standard TypeScript one that has lots of them?
