I’m getting a lot of “it makes no difference that she was a virgin” comments. I disagree. I included that information to highlight that another piece of her identity had been stolen. He took another precious thing from her that will shape who she is for the rest of her life.

I was raped as a 15 year old virgin. This is my lived experience. This in no way diminishes the trauma or pain, or suffering of any other victims. But it’s relevant. Our experiences are relevant. We are all relevant.
